On the structural, acidic and catalytic properties of zeolite SUZ-4

Article Abstract:

Research was conducted to examine the structural, acidic and catalytic properties of zeolite SUZ-4. The highly crystalline SUZ-4 zeolite was characterized and its catalytic and acidic features were analyzed by n-hexane conversion and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. Results based on the published crystallographic data indicate that SUZ-4 zeolite has a three-dimensional pore system that includes ten-membered ring channels parallel to unit cell c-axis.

Ferrierite and SUZ-4 zeolite: characterization of acid sites

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to analyze acid sites in ferrierite and SUZ-5 zeolite. The Philips 1710 diffractometer was utilized to carry out XRD analysis while the Bruker MSL 400 NMR spectrometer was used to obtain the nuclear magnetic resonance spectra of hydrated samples. Experimental results indicated that aluminum substitution in ferrierite occurs in extended rings at the intersections of 8- and 6-ring channels.
