Ordering transition of block copolymer films

Article Abstract:

A study is carried out on the ordering temperature of poly(styrene-b-methyl methacrylate) (PS-b-PMMA) thin film diblock copolymers of thickness h less than or equal to 2L that is supported by SiO(sub x)/Si substrates, in vacuum environments. It is found that in compressed Co2 environments, these films are ordered at temperatures where the films are disordered in vacuum (or air) environment.

Linear conformation of poly(styrene-alt-maleic anhydride) capable of self-assembly: A result of chain stiffening by internal hydrogen bonds

Article Abstract:

A study presents a careful conformational analysis of poly(styrene-alt-maleic anhydride) at different pH value. The findings reveal that a strong internal hydrogen bond is formed at intermediate pH, which indicate a change in the conformation of the polymer chain, which finally becomes linear.

Aggregation of ionic surfactants to block copolymer assemblies: A simple fluorescence spectral study

Article Abstract:

A simple method based on steady-state fluorescence spectral measurement which could be used to study the interaction mechanism of copolymers and ionic surfactants is demonstrated.
