PFG NMR study of polymer and solubilizate dynamics in aqueous isotropic mesophases of some poloxamers

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to analyze the self-diffusion of the polymer and oil components in aqueous ternary cubic liquid crystalline mesophases determined by three different Pluronic triblock copolymers. Pulsed-field gradient nuclear magnetic resonance was utilized to carry out the analysis. Experimental results indicated that the self-diffusion of the oil component in the ternary clc mesophases is Fickian.

Isotropic-cubic liquid crystalline phase transition in aqueous solutions of PLPC

Article Abstract:

It has been possible to use X-ray scattering to investigate the isotropic (I)-cubic (Q223) phase transition in micellar aqueous solutions of palmitoyllysophosphatidylcholine. The overall micellar volume in the Q223 phase is compatible with micelles of same paraffinic volume as those investigated in the I phase.
