Phonon-driven exciton dissociation at donor-acceptor polymer heterojunctions: direct versus bridge-mediated vibronic coupling pathways

Article Abstract:

A molecular-level, quantum dynamical analysis of phonon-driven exciton dissociation at polymer heterojunctions is described by using a linear vibronic coupling model. The variation of the vibronic coupling model parameters in a realistic range has shown that the direct exciton decay pathway is not dynamically robust, whereas the bridge-mediated pathways are dominant.

Electroluminescence yield in donor-acceptor copolymers and diblock polymers: a comparative theoretical study

Article Abstract:

A theoretical treatment is provided, wherein the spontaneous emission rates for the singlet manifold is included and the competition between radiative processes is studied. It is also shown that the formation of the emissive singlet exciton is accelerated in a regular acceptor - donor copolymer because of the removal of the charge transfer states.

Fluorenone-containing polyfluorenes and oligofluorenes: photophysics, origin of the green emission and efficient green electroluminescence

Article Abstract:

A series of four new statistical copolymers of 9,9-dihexylfluorene and 9-fluorenone with well-defined structures and a new fluorene-fluorene-fluorene trimer model compound are synthesized. It is used to investigate the photophysics, origin of the green emission, and electroluminescence of this class of light-emitting materials.
