Photoelectrochemistry of conducting polymers modified with electron-acceptor moieties

Article Abstract:

The photoelectrochemical behavior of two polymers of the polythiophene series containing electron-acceptor groups in the main chain is studied and compared to that of the nonmodified polymer, poly(2,2'-bithiophene), PBT. The values of external quantum efficiency are estimated in a liquid-cell arrangement to be 0.27 and 0.19% for modified and nonmodified polymers, respectively.

Electrochemical impedance sensing of DNA hybridization on conducting polymer film-modified diamond

Article Abstract:

Investigation on the impedimetric sensing of DNA hybridization on polyaniline/polyacrylate (PANI/PAA)-modified boron-doped diamond (BDD) electrode is carried out. The results suggest that electropolymerization followed by the immobilization of biomolecules is a simple and effective way of creating a functional biomolecular scaffold on the diamond surface.

DNA Pst-condensation and reentrant decondensation: Effect of the PEG degree of polymerization

Article Abstract:

Pst-condensation of DNA fragments was induced by poly(ethylene glycol) [PEG], with degrees of polymerization and univalent salt (NaCl). The study of reentrant decondensation had a very strong dependence on PEG molecular weight.
