Photoinduced electron transfer and molecular orientation of zinc porphyrin-imide dyads in Langmuir-Blodgett monolayer films

Article Abstract:

The photoinduced electron transfer and molecular orientation of zinc porphyrin-imide dyads in Langmuir-Blodgett monolayer films were investigated by probing fluorescence quenching of photoexcited zinc porphyrin (ZnP) with the picosecond time-resolved fluorescent measurement. Measurement of the polarized absorption spectra provided information on spacial conformation of the dimers, suggesting a slightly slipped head-to-tail dimerization of two ZnP rings.

Enhancing effect of SiOx monolayer coverage of TiO2 on the photoinduced oxidation of rhodamine 6G in aqueous media

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to analyze the influence of coating TiO2 with a SiOx monolayer on the photoinduced oxidation of rhodamine G. Different amounts of rhodamine G were preadsorbed on the photocatalysis in gas-phase reactions. The MOPAC 5.0 software was utilized to compute the energy eigenvalues for the optimized structure. Experimental results indicated that increases in the surface treatment correlated with the adsorption strength of rhodamine G.

A patterned-TiO2/SnO2 bilayer type photocatalyst

Article Abstract:

Sol-gel patterned TiO2 films formed on SnO2-film coated soda lime-glass show very high levels of photocatalytic activity for both liquid- and gas-phase reactions. This situation results from efficient charge separation.
