Quantitative determination of the speciation of surface vanadium oxides and their catalytic activity

Article Abstract:

A quantitative method based on UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS) was developed to determine the fraction of monomeric and polymeric V[O.sub.x] species that are present in vanadate materials. The findings reveal that the support cation is a potent ligand that directly influences the reactivity of the bridging V-O-support bond, the catalytic active site, by controlling its basic character with the support electronegativity.

Comparative study of bulk and supported V- Mo- Te- Nb- O mixed metal oxide catalysts for oxidative dehydrogenation of propane to propylene

Article Abstract:

Bulk V- Nb- O, Mo- Nb- O, Te- Nb- O and V- Mo- Te- Nb- O mixed metal oxides were synthesized and characterized with Raman spectroscopy, XRD and BET methods. The catalytic results over the model Nb2O5 supported metal oxides demonstrate that the propane oxidative dehydrogenation (ODH) reaction is structure insensitive because the turn over frequency (TOF) is independent of the number and structure of surface active sites.

Optimization of tailoring of CuOx species of silica alumina supported catalysts for the selective catalytic reduction of NOx

Article Abstract:

A series of CuOx catalysts dispersed on SiO2-Al2O3 support with a copper content from 0.2 to 12 wt % corresponding to 0.04-3.7 atom(sub cu) nm(super -2) was prepared by chemisorption-hydrolysis method from copper solutions. It is observed that at high copper loading, the existence of copper centers in closer interaction occurred forming structures of oxocations-like type.
