RAPID: so close and yet..

Article Abstract:

Washington, DC-based RAPID Inc is active in developing and maintaining agricultural directories. The directories allow the industry to identify the trading partners and products consistently throughout the channel. The most robust directory that RAPID has put in place is the North American Purchasers Directory (NAPD), an electronic database of agriculture product purchasers. Most crop protection product distributors and manufacturers are using the NAPD's grower identification numbers that are necessary for them to carry out the grower marketing programs they want to conduct.
