Direct visualization of a self-organized multilayer film of low [T.sub.g] diblock copolymer micelles

Article Abstract:

Atomic force microscopy is used to show in situ the presence of true nanoscale micelles structure within alternating layers of a self assembled cationic and anionic diblock copolymer micelle-micelle multilayer film. The morphologies of all the layers were found to be alike and the [T.sub.g] diblock polymer films possess three-dimensional order with mechanical resilience and strong hydrated nature.

Anomalous transition in aqueous solutions of a thermoresponsive amphiphilic diblock copolymer

Article Abstract:

A study report on the influence of shear flow on aggregation and disaggregation in aqueous solutions of the thermoresponsive methoxy-poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) ([MPEG.sub.53]-b-[PNIPAAM.sub.113]) copolymer is presented.
