Reversible interchange of charge-transfer versus electron-transfer states in organic electron transfer via cross-exchanges between diamagnetic (donor/acceptor) dyads

Article Abstract:

A theoretical investigation is done, along with spectral identification of the transient ion-radical pairs of electronic transfer states donors ([D.sup.>]) and acceptors ([A.sup.-.]). A unique potential-energy surface comprising of a single minimum without any reorganizational barrier for electron-transfer cross-exchanges with driving forces near to the isergonic limit is observed and the mechanistic effect of the direct demonstration of facile charge-transfer/electron-transfer interchange are described.

General, spontaneous ion replacement reaction for the synthesis of micro- and nanostructured metal oxides

Article Abstract:

A study on the ion replacement reaction for chemical synthesis of micro- and nonostructured Mn(sub 2)O(sub 3), ZnO, CuO, CdO, Al(sub 2)O(sub 3) and CaO samples is presented. The results make a progress to simply and mildly synthesize metal oxides with various morphologies, due to the fact that materials with a desired morphology are a key engineering step towards their shape-dependent chemical and physical properties.

Control of the fixed charge distribution in an ion-exchange membrane via diffusion and the reaction rate of the monomer

Article Abstract:

The fixed charge distribution of the ion-exchange membranes which was controlled by introducing ion-exchangeable groups onto the glycidyl methacrylate (GMA)-g-polypropylene (PP) membranes is described.
