Ruthenium (II) tribipyridine functionalized gold nanorods. Morphological changes and excited-state interactions

Article Abstract:

The functionalization of gold nanorods with a thiol derivative of ruthenium (II) tribipyridyl complex in dodecanethiol is described. The results suggest that the size and shape of the gold nanorods impact the quenching of the excited state to proceed via an energy transfer mechanism and those gold rods are capable to deactivate excited ruthenium.

Improving the photoelectrochemical performance of nanostructured TiO (sub 2) films by adsorption of gold nanoparticles

Article Abstract:

The TiO2 films cast on conducting glass plates are modified by adsorbing gold nanoparticles from a toluene solution. The improved photoelectrochemical performance is explained on the basis of improved interfacial charge-transfer kinetics of the TiO2/Au composite

Dye-capped fold nanoclusters: photoinduced morphological changes in gold/rhodamine 6G nanoassemblies

Article Abstract:

Au nanoparticles prepared by thiocyanate reduction method are too small to exhibit the characteristic surface plasmon band. The phtoinduced morphological changes in gold/rhodamine 6G nanoassemblies are elucidated using picosecond laser flash photolysis.
