Secondary isotope effect of photoinduced isomerization of alkyl radicals in low-temperature solids

Article Abstract:

The photoinduced isomerization of hexyl radicals with partially deuterated methyl groups, 2-hexyl-1,1,6,6-d4 and 2-hexyl-1,6-d2, has been investigated. Deuteration of the atom of the transfer creates a large isotope effect, with the partial deuteration of the end methyl groups thus creating the large isotope effect.

Mechanism of dedoping processes of conducting poly(3-alkylthiophenes)

Article Abstract:

Temporal changes in electric conductivity, photoabsorption, and electron spin resonance of iodine-doped poly(3-octylthiophene) were examined to clarify the mechanism of thermal dedoping processes of conducting poly(3-alkylthiophenes). A decrease in the electric conductivity was accompanied by a decrease in the dof the polymer cation and an increase in the spin concentration.

Optical and electronic properties of polysilane radical anions

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to analyze the optical and electronic characteristics of polysilane radical anions. A localization of the excess electron was proposed to be correlated with the excess electron on a part of the main chain. Results indicated that the orbitals of the excess electrons in the radical anions were antibonding pseudo-pi composed of Si 3p(sub y) atomic orbitals bisecting the Si-Si-Si planes.
