Selective hydrogenation of acetylene over Au/Al (sub 2) O (sub 3) catalyst

Article Abstract:

The hydrogenation of acetylene and ethylene is studied on Au/Al(sub 2)O(sub 3) catalyst. The activity of the selective hydrogenneration of acetylene over Au/Al(sub 2)O(sub 3) catalyst depend on the size of ultrafine gold particles of Au/Al(sub 2)O(sub 3) catalyst, which showed a maximum at about 3.0 nm in diameter.

Infrared study of CO adsorption and oxidation over Au/Al(sub 2)O(sub 3) catalyst at 150 K

Article Abstract:

CO adsorption and oxidation over Au/Al(sub 2)O(sub 3) were studied by infrared (IR) spectroscopy at 150 K and two kinds of adsorbed CO on ultrafine gold particles of Au/Al(sub 2)O(sub 3) catalyst were observed at 150 K. The oxidation of reversible CO and the others did not convert the irreversible CO to CO(sub 2).

Spectroscopic study of H2 and CO adsorption on paltinum-promoted sulfated zirconia catalysts

Article Abstract:

Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy was used to investigate hydrogen adsorption on active Pt/SZ catalyst. Active oxygen was responsible for formation of H20 upon hydrogen adsorption.
