Single-Walled carbon nanotube-based coaxial nanowires: Synthesis, characterization, and electrical properties

Article Abstract:

The template-directed synthesis, characterization and electric properties of single-walled carbon nanotube- (SWNT-) based coaxial nanowires that is core (SWNT)-shell nanowires were reported. Raman and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and scanning (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy were used to characterize the composition and the structures of the coaxial nanowires.

CVD growth of N-doped carbon nanotubes on silicon substrates and its mechanism

Article Abstract:

The chemical vapor deposition (CVD) of nitrogen-doped (N-doped) aligned carbon nanotubes on a silicon (Si) substrate using ferrocene as catalyst and acetonite as the carbon source is reported. The nitrogen content could be effectively modulated over a wide range by adding H2 to the reacting system.

Chemical alignment of oxidatively shortened single-walled carbon nanotubes on silver surface

Article Abstract:

A study was done on a simple technique for the assembly of oxidatively shortened single-walled nanotubes (SWNTs) on silver surface. The results show formation of perpendicular oxidatively shortened SWNTs on the silver surface.
