The kinetics of radiative and nonradiative processes in nanocrystalline ZnO particles upon photoexcitation

Article Abstract:

Research is presented demonstrating the results of time-resolved and steady-state luminescence measurements, over two emission bands, taken from nanocrystalline ZnO particle suspensions at different temperatures and of different sizes.

Single-step synthesis to control the photoluminescence quantum yield and size dispersion of CdSe nanocrystals

Article Abstract:

The study was done on the factors governing the photoluminescence (PL) quantum yields and size dispersion of colloidal CdSe nanocrystals. The results showed the overgrowth of a fresh surface layer restoring high quantum yields to CdSe nanocrystals with decreased efficiencies because of surface degradation.

Synthesis and growth of ZnO nanoparticles

Article Abstract:

Research was conducted to examine the synthesis and growth of ZnO with particle size <10 nm. The ZnO nanoparticles were prepared by the addition of LiOH to an ethanolic zinc acetate solution. It was observed that the aging of particles was influenced by water content, temperature and the presence of reaction products. Results provide a better-defined and more flexible approach for the production of clean ZnO sols of readily adjustable particle size.
