Solar photobiochemistry: simultaneous photoproduction of hydrogen and oxygen in a confined bioreactor

Article Abstract:

Information regarding the simultaneous photoproduction of hydrogen and oxygen in a confined bioreactor in which the gases accumulate in the headspace above the liquid is presented. An elementary model of gas/liquid interface is developed to calculate the time constant for the movement of oxygen into the gas phase.

A Brownian Dynamics study of the initial stages of hen egg-white lysozome adsorption at a solid interface

Article Abstract:

The initial stages of hen egg-white lysozome (HEWL) adsorption at a solid interface are investigated using Brownian Dynamics simulation. The electric field distribution around the protein is found to be a good predictor of the adsorption behavior.

Transient isotopic kinetic study of NO/H2/O2 (Lean de-NO(sub x)) reaction on Pt/SiO2 and Pt/La-Ce-Mn-O catalysts

Article Abstract:

Essential mechanistic aspects of NO/H2/O2 reaction at 140 degree C were studied using mass spectroscopy and DRIFTS. Inactive adsorb NO(sub x) species (spectators) were found to accumulate on both Pt and support surfaces.
