Solid state dehydration processes: Mechanism of water loss from crystalline inosine dihydrate

Article Abstract:

The solid state dehydration of inosine dihydrate is investigated using powder X-ray diffraction, differential scanning calorimetry, thermal gravimetric analysis, dynamic vapor sorption, hot stage microscopy, (super 13)C solid state NMR, and variable temperature Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The results are combined with an analysis of the crystallographic packing of inosine dihydrate and its two anhydrous polymorphs to yield mechanistic insights into the modes of water loss.

Thermal-induced changes in molecular magnets based on Prussian blue analogues

Article Abstract:

The thermal-induced changes in molecular magnets on Prussian blue analogues, were studied from infrared, X-ray diffraction, thermo-gravimetric, Mossbauer, and magnetic data. The crystal water removal in the studied family of molecular magnets has a pronounced effect on the metal center interaction that is detected through the Mossbauer data.

Thermal stability of flame-synthesized anatase TiO2 nanoparticles

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to investigate the thermal stability of anatase TiO2 nanoparticles produced by flame synthesis. Phase-pure anatase particles of ~4 nm in size could be reproducibly synthesized by using a tubular burner and rotating sampler.
