Solution structures of 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ionic liquid saturated with CO2: Experimental evidence of specific anion-CO2 interaction

Article Abstract:

High pressures with a newly developed polymer cell is used in X-ray diffraction measurements for 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexaflurophosphate ionic liquid ([BMIM]-[PF6])-CO2 systems. It is concluded that CO2 molecules are preferentially solvated to the [PF6](super -) anion.

Raman spectral studies of aqueous zinc nitrate solution at high temperatures and at a high pressure of 30 MPa

Article Abstract:

The measurement of the dynamic behavior of ions in an aqueous zinc nitrate solution of Zn2+ was performed using a developed high-temperature and high-pressure Raman spectroscopic system. The Raman technique led to the observation of the rotation around the axes perpendicular to the C3 axis called the perpendicular rotation. A direct calculation of the rotational relaxation exhibited by the N-O symmetric mode in the solution was performed at high temperatures of up to 340 degrees Centigrade and at a high pressure of 30 MPa.
