Solvent clustering around pyrazine ions in the high-compressibility region of supercritical ethane

Article Abstract:

The model predicts the electrostriction volume by ions in SC ethane quite accurately, and suggesting that the partial molar volumes of neutral pyrazine and methylpyrazine are small by comparison to that of the ions. This pulse conductivity study shows that large volume changes occur on electron attachment to solutes in supercritical ethane in regions of high compressibility, indicating clustering of solvent molecules around the ions.

Energetics and volume changes in electron attachment to pyrazine in supercritical xenon

Article Abstract:

A research is done to analyze the electron equilibria in supercritical xenon over a wide pressure range in order to determine the volume and energetic changes happening in such equilibrium in Xe and also to observe any difference present between solvent and supercritical ethane on which the reactions are analyzed.

Reactions of charged species in supercritical xenon as studied by pulse radiolysis

Article Abstract:

An initial study of the pulse radiolysis of supercritical xenon is reported. The formation of the excimers by electron-ion recombinations was time-resolved by pulse-probe measurements.
