Stationary potential patterns during the reduction of peroxodisulfate at Ag ring electrodes

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to determine the potential distribution in front a silver ring electrode during the reduction of peroxodisulfate using potential microprobes. The silver ring electrode supported an outer diameter of 11.7 nm and a width of 0.75 nm. Experimental results indicated the importance of integrating the spatial variable in model considerations associated with the properties of electrode reactions.

Complex spatiotemporal antiphase oscillations during electrodissolution of a metal disk electrode: model calculations

Article Abstract:

The simulations of spatiotemporal patterns were presented during the electrodissolution of a metal disk electrode in which the reference electrode is located on the axis of the disk and close to the metal working electrode. This geometry introduces a strong but asymmetric negative feedback, which tends to destabilize the homogeneous potential distribution.

Pattern formation in globally coupled electrochemical systems with an S-shaped current-potential curve

Article Abstract:

The impact of global coupling on pattern formation in electrochemical systems with an S-shaped current-potential curve is investigated. The global coupling arises either owing to the galvanostatic operation mode or owing to the use of a Haber-Luggin capillary in a potentiostatic experiment.
