Structural properties of the amorphous ices: An analysis in terms of distance-ranked neighbors and angular correlations

Article Abstract:

Three known forms of amorphous ice are studied through computer simulations, namely, the low density (LDA), the high density (HDA), and the very high-density (VHDA) amorphous ices, at various pressures and temperatures. LDA, HDA and VHDA are disordered forms whose local structures tend to a single tetrahedral network, to an ice-VII-like arrangement, and to a random-close-packed simple liquidlike structure, respectively.

Correlations between the viscolelastic behavior pf pyrene-labeled associative polymers and the associations of their fluorescent hydrophobes

Article Abstract:

The viscoelastic behavior of a series of three pyrene-labeled hydrophobically modified alkali swellable emulsion copolymers (Py-HASEs) was investigated. The Py-HASE solutions exhibited shear thinning, whose magnitude was found to increase with increasing pyrene content.

Viscoelastic changes in Os-containing poly(allylamine) based redox hydrogels for amperometric enzyme electrodes: an EQCM study

Article Abstract:

Volume and viscoelestic changes in a redox hydrogel have been analyzed by investigating the electroacoustic impedance at 10 MHz of a quartz crystal covered by a thin Au electrode with the hydrogel film deposited onto the gold surface.
