Symmetrical ketone/n-alkane systems. 1. Phase diagrams from DSC

Article Abstract:

The phase diagrams are determined for solution-crystallized samples of two long-chain symmetrical Kn and Cn with the same carbon numbers of n=25 and 39 from differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) measurements. It was found that the K25/C25 sample crystallized in hexane formed eutectic mixtures above f(sub m)=0.14, while the K39/C39 sample formed two different types of solid solutions above and below f(sub m)=0.20.

Estimation of liquid-liquid-vapor equilibria using predictive EOS models. 1. carbon dioxide-n-alkanes

Article Abstract:

The liquid-liquid-vapor equilibria are predicted without preliminary resources to experimental data using G(super E)-based semipredictive models and the Global Phase Diagram Approach (GPDA). GPDA yields exact predictions of the global phase behavior and accurate estimations of the composition and density of the vapor and the CO2-rich phases.

Prediction of thermodynamic properties of the systems formed by n-alkanes, aliphatic monoethers, and I-Chloralkanes using a cell-hole group contribution model.

Article Abstract:

A detailed test of the group-contribution hole models is used to predict thermodynamic properties of pure n-alkanes aliphatic monoethanes, 1-Chloroalkanes and their mixtures with n-alkane. The model however, in spite of being universal is applicable only to a few properties and limited range of parameters.
