Synthesis and characterization of ordered, very large pore MSU-H silicas assembled from water-soluble silicates

Article Abstract:

Two-dimensional, hexagonally ordered silicas with large uniform mesopores are assembled through a nonionic supramolecular assembly pathway using sodium silicate as a silica source and the triblock copolymer pluronic as a structure-directing agent. The materials exhibited adsorption properties highly similar to silica assembled through an electrostatic pathway under strongly acidic conditions, indicating the framework structure of analogues and consist of ordered large pores connected by micropores in the pore walls.

Water mediation proton transfer in a mesostructured aluminosilicate framework: An ab initio molecular dynamics study

Article Abstract:

The proton transfer process mediated by water molecules adsorbed in an aluminosilicate framework was studied using ab initio molecular dynamics simulations. The investigation was conducted using a quasi-one-dimensional model simulating the mesoporous aluminosilicate channel structures.

Synthesis of FDU-1 silica with narrow pore size distribution and tailorable pore entrance size in the presence of sodium chloride

Article Abstract:

The synthesis of FDU-1 silica in the presence of triblock copolymer B50-6600 under acidic conditions was investigated. It was observed that the synthesis was enhanced by the addition of organic salt namely sodium chloride.
