The adsorption and reaction of HCl on Pd(111)

Article Abstract:

The experiment is conducted where HCl adsorbed onto clean Pd(111) produces three distinct HCL desorption states in thermal desorption spectroscopy (TDS). The chemistry of HCL on the Pd(111) surface is dominated by the strong attractive interactions of the Cl with the Pd surface and the strong repulsive interactions of the Cl adatoms with each other.

Selective coalescence of bubbles in simple electrolytes

Article Abstract:

Simple monovalent electrolytes are considered and the electrostatic interaction between free surfaces of electrolytes caused by the ion accumulation or depletion near a surface is calculated. The method of effective potentials is applied to calculate the ionic contribution to the surface-surface interaction in NaCl and HCl solutions.

Vapor-liquid and critical behavior of binary systems of hydrogen chloride and n-alkanes: Experimental data and soft-SAFT modeling

Article Abstract:

The experimental results of binary mixtures of hydrogen chloride with propane and dodecane which was used to model the fluid-phase behavior of binary HCl + n-alkane mixtures with the crossover soft-SAFT equation of state is presented.
