Theoretical interpretation of the interprotein electron transfer between cytochrome c2 and the photosynthetic reaction center

Article Abstract:

The initial advances in the theoretical understanding of the interprotein electron transfer between cytochrome c2 and the photosynthetic reaction center in Rhodobacter sphaeroides is described from calculations based on the x-ray crystal structure. The results revealed the major impact of the charged residues at the RC surface region in binding.

Distal interactions in the cyanide complex of ferric Chlamydomonas hemoglobin

Article Abstract:

Chlamydomonas hemoglobin is expressed in chloroplast during active photosynthesis. The ferrous state of the heme, oxygen binds with high affinity and is stabilized by interactions from E7-glutamine and B10-tyrosine.
