Theoretical investigation of the temperature dependence of the fifth-order Raman response function of fluid and liquid xenon

Article Abstract:

A computationally tractable classical time-correlation function theory was proposed for the two-dimensional (2D) fifth-order Raman quantum response function. The inability of techniques based on the third-order response function, such as optical Kerr effect spectroscopy, to identify the origins of line shape broadening put an emphasis on the development of higher order techniques, for example, fifth-order Raman spectroscopy.

Surface-enhanced Raman difference between human insulin and insulin lispro detected with adaptive nanostructures

Article Abstract:

A protein sensor based on nanostructural adaptive silver films (ASFs) is developed for soft protein adsorption and detection using surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). The sensor is used to examine differences in Raman spectra of two insulin isomers, human insulin and its analogue insulin lispro. Studies indicate that SERS detection using ASF's could lead to efficient proteomic sensing technology.

Resonance Raman intensity analysis of merocyanine dimers in solution

Article Abstract:

A model developed for the more general situation in which each monomer has multiple vibrational modes coupled to the electronic transition is discussed. Resonance Raman excitation profiles and depolarization ratios as well as hyper-Rayleigh scattering intensities for this model is examined.
