Theoretical study of neutral and ionic states of small clusters of Ga(sub m)O(sub n) (m, n - 1,2)

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted on the structure, bonding, vibrational and electronic properties of small clusters of gallium oxide, Ga(sub m)O(sub n) (m, n =1,2) with a focus on the changes induced by the addition or removal of an electron from the neutral species. It was found that the addition of an electron introduced relatively larger structural changes than the removal of an electron from the neutral cluster.

Excellent field emission properties of P-doped GaN nanowires

Article Abstract:

The GaN nanowires, having average diameters of ~100 nanometer and lengths up to tens of micrometers and with P-doping were synthesized through a simple thermal evaporation process. The scanning electron microscope and high-resolution field-emission transmission electron microscope analyses revealed that P doping results in a rough surface morphology of GaN nonowires.

Structural characteristics of the tubular conical-helix of graphitic boron nitride

Article Abstract:

The structures of the tubular conical-helix of graphitic boron nitride are investigated using electron diffraction and high-resolution electron microscopy. Further, structural elements defining the complete structure of a conical-helix is discussed.
