Thermal spreading of MoO3 onto silica supports

Article Abstract:

The thermal spreading of MoO3 onto silica is studied in comparison with the thermal spreading onto alumina using different characterization techniques. The X-ray diffraction results showed that MoO3 crystals were transformed into Mo amorphous species on alumina and silica supports by thermal treatment.

From Al4B2O9 nanowires to BN-coated Al18B4O33 nanowires

Article Abstract:

A novel route was proposed to completely coat aluminium borate nanowires by in situ providing the precursor for BN coating. The reaction between the in situ generated vapors and ammonia ensures that the BN layers are attached tightly on the surface of the as-formed Al18B4O33 nanowires.

Solution-based chemical synthesis of boehmite nanofibers and alumina nanorods

Article Abstract:

A chemical method for synthesizing boehmite nanofibers by a modified sol-gel process involving aluminum isopropoxide precursor is discussed. The boehmite nanofibers and gamma-alumina nanorods were characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.
