Thermogravimetric Measurement of Hydrogen Absorption in Alkali-Modified Carbon Materials

Article Abstract:

Li-doped multiwall carbon nanotubes and Li- and K-interacted graphite is prepared and their hydrogen storage properties using a thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA) are measured. A cyclable weight gain between 200 and 400 degree C and weight loss between 400 and 500 degree C characterized by a distinct and unusual temperature profile in a flowing H2 atmosphere Li-doped nanotubes and Li-intercalated graphite is exhibited.

Electronic transitions of the Soret band of reaction centers from Rhodobacter sphaeroides studied by fematosecond transient absorbance spectroscopy

Article Abstract:

The Soret band of reaction centers form Rhodobacter sphaeroides was systematically studied using fematosecond transient absorption spectroscopy. It was found that the main contribution of absorption spectra H is on the blue end of spectrum, P absorbs mostly on the red side of spectrum, but probably has multiple bands and the main absorbance of B likely lies between H and P, overlapping with P on the red side.

Temperature dependence of the free energy, ethaloy, and entropy of P(super +)Q(sub A)(super -) charge recombination in Rhodobacter sphaeroides R-26 reaction centers

Article Abstract:

The free energy, entropy, and enthalpy changes between P(super +)Q(sub A)(super -) and P(super +)H(super -) were determined for eight anthraquinones and one naphthoquinone as Q(sub A). The temperature dependence of the charge recombination kinetics is studied at temperature from 40 to 318 K.
