Transient oxygen clathrate-like hydrate and water networks induced by magnetic fields

Article Abstract:

The infrared and Raman spectroscopic evidence indicating quasi-stable structures in the magnetic field-affecting water (MFA water), oxygen clathrate-like hydrate and developed water networks, which were induced by magnetic interactions while a vacuum-distilled water, followed by oxygen exposure, crossed a steady magnetic field, were reported. The mechanism of MFA water formation and survival under thermal fluctuations is a challenging problem for the science community.

Structural isotopic effects in the smallest chiral amino acid: Observation of a structural phase transition in fully deuterated alanine

Article Abstract:

The changes instigated by deuteration in amino acid are studied by using neutron diffraction, inelastic neutron scattering, and Raman scattering in L-alanine C2H4(NH2)COOH. Analysis showed that the deuteration of L-alanine engenders significant geometric changes as a function of temperature that can directly be related to the new lattice vibration mode in the Raman spectra.
