US: ADCO SELLS TIOGA TO SINNETT-ELPACO

Adco Global has sold major parts of its fully-owned subsidiary Tioga Coatings Corp of Rockford, Illinois, to Sinnett-Elpaco Coatings Corp. of St. Louis, Missouri. The latter is to start production of Tioga coatings in the near future. They include industrial coatings, high-temperature-resistant coatings and specialist automotive coatings. Sinnett-Elpaco produces two-component polyurethane coatings, water-based products and OEM industrial coatings and markets powder coatings.

Seibert-Oxidermo generates an annual turnover of US$ 15mn. Red Spot generates most of its turnover, which last financial year amounted to US$ 96mn, with the automotive industry. The company specialises in coatings for plastics.
