US: ATOFINA SELLS ACTIVITY TO LITHCHEM INTL

Total Fina Elf's US chemicals subsidiary, Atofina Chemicals, has sold its fluorine activity, Ozark-Mahoning, to the US company, LithChem International, which specialises in products based on lithium. The activity concerns the production unit based in Tulsa, in Oklahoma.

US: ROHM & HAAS/ATOFINA CAPACITY INCREASE DEAL

Article Abstract:

In 2002, a large part of an extra 115,000 tons per year of methylmethacrylate, will be reserved for Atofina, as part of a deal made with Rohm & Haas, in order to increase the capacity on its Deer Park in Texas. Atofina uses this for its acrylic resin activity.
