Unusual infrared spectrum of ethane adsorbed by gallium oxide

Article Abstract:

A study of an unusual diffuse reflection Fourier transform (DRIFT) spectrum of ethane adsorbed by gallium oxide is reported. One of the stretching C-H bands in this spectrum with a maximum at 2753 cm[sup.-1] is more than by 100 cm [sup.-1] shifted toward lower frequencies in comparison with gaseous ethane.

Infrared spectroscopic study of the carbon dioxide adsorption on the surface of Ga2O3 polymorphs

Article Abstract:

In situ infrared (IR) spectroscopy is used to study the adsorption of CO2 over a set of gallium (III) oxide polymorphs with different crystallographic phases (alpha, beta and gamma) and surface areas. The results have shown that these gallia polymorphs have shown almost identical, weak surface basicity.

Porous GaN as a template to produce surface-enhanced Raman scattering-active surfaces

Article Abstract:

Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) substrates were prepared by depositing Au or Ag on porous GaN (PGaN). The PGaN used as the template for the metal deposition in these studies was generated by a Pt-assisted electroless etching techniques.
