Vapor-Transportation preparation and reversible lithium intercalation/deintercalation of alpha-MoO3 microrods

Article Abstract:

A report is presented on the preparation and electrochemical application of rechargeable lithium-ion batteries of alpha-MoO3 microrods. A detailed discussion is provided between the correlation of the specific structures of the microrods and their superior electrode performance which reveals that the unique rodlike structure plays an important role in optimizing the electrochemical performance of the electrode.

Synthesis, characterization, and electrochemical application of Ca(OH)2-, Co(OH)2- and Y(OH)3-coated Ni(OH)2 tubes

Article Abstract:

A report on the synthesis, characterization, and electrochemical application of Ca(OH)2-, Co(OH)2- and Y(OH)3-coated Ni(OH)2 tubes with mesoscale dimensions is presented. These composite tubes are prepared through a two-step chemical precipitation within an anodic alumina membrane under ambient conditions.

Swelling kinetics of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) minigels

Article Abstract:

Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAM) gels with different sizes in the micrometer scale are synthesized to study swelling kinetics. It is shown that the characteristic swelling time scales with the inverse of the particle dimension squared.
