Wetting behavior in colloid- polymer mixtures at different substrates

Article Abstract:

The wetting experiments on phase separated colloid-polymer systems are described by considering a solid substrate in equilibrium with two fluid phases. This can help in effectively eliminating the van der Waals forces and replace them with weak attractive interaction of controllable range and strength.

Synthesis of core-shell PtCo nanocrystals

Article Abstract:

An attempt is made to synthesize monodisperse, bimetallic PtCo nanoparticles with a controllable core-shell structure by a new two-stage route. The synthesis route for the production of PtCo colloidal nanoparticles with controllable core- shell structure was also found.

Phase behavior of colloidal hard tetragonal parallelepipeds (cuboids): A Monte Carol simulation study

Article Abstract:

The impact of particle geometry on the phase behavior of hard colloidal tetragonal parallelepipeds (TPs) is studied by using Monte Carlo simulations in continuum space. It is found that TPs have a very rich phase diagram with the presence of many unusual mesophases.
