ZaCh System to buy PPG fine chemicals

Article Abstract:

Pharmaceutical firm Zambon's fine chemicals subsidiary ZaCh System has agreed to acquire the fine chemicals business of PPG Industries. The deal, which is projected to close in the fourth quarter of 2007, is worth around 47 million euros. The changes that will occur after the deal, which is still under regulatory approval, has been closed are discussed.

Axyntis Group has been launched by the new owners of Organsynth's fine chemicals and dyes businesses, derived from "Active Synthesis". Headquartered in Paris, the company has five divisi ons: Orgasynth Industries, Orgapharm, All'Chem, Synthexim and Steiner. The operations of these divisions are discussed.
