Role of electronic structure in the susceptibility of metastable transition-metal oxide structures of transformation

Article Abstract:

The role of electronic structure in determining the site preference and mobility of 3d transition-metal ions in an oxide and the way these factors in turn affect the resistance of metastable 3d transition-metal oxides against transformation is focused. The findings indicate a number of different strategies for producing lithium manganese oxide structures, other than spinel, that resist transformation with electrochemical cycling.

Formation and insertion of the nitrogenase iron-molybdenum cofactor

Article Abstract:

The biosynthesis of iron-molybdenum (FeMo) cofactor is an enormously complicated process that involves its sequential assembly on scaffold proteins is presented. Formation of FeMo-cofactor does not involve participation of the apo-MoFe protein, rather FeMo-cofactor is separately formed and then inserted into the apo-MoFe protein.

Heterocyclic hydroperoxides in selective oxidations

Article Abstract:

The heterocyclic hydroperoxides are best natural selective oxidants because of the presence of electronegative groups in the vicinity of hydroperoxide group. The heterocyclic nature allows the entry of oxygen and is also catalytically regenerated of oxidation.
