Spiro compounds for organic optoelectronics

Article Abstract:

A comprehensive overview of the basic physicochemical properties of spirobifluorene-based compounds in solution and in the solid state is presented along with their applications in optoelectronics. The range of potential applications based on these materials spans to the field of thin film devices from organic transistors, photodetectors and solar cells to organic light emitting diodes and lasers.

Organophosphorus [pi]-conjugated materials

Article Abstract:

The various classes of [pi]-conjugated oligomers and polymers incorporating P-moieties are explored to illustrate the conceptual design and specific properties that directly result from the presence of the P-atom. The results from research established that organophosphorus building blocks could offer specific properties that their widely used sulfur or nitrogen analogues do not possess.

Charge carrier transporting molecular materials and their applications in devices

Article Abstract:

A review on charge transporting molecular materials for use in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), organic photovoltaic devices (OPVs), and organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) is presented. Devices such as OLEDs, OPVs, and OFETs involve charge transport as a main process in their operation processes, and therefore it requires high-performance charge-transporting materials.
