The service is particularly beneficial to small- and medium-sized companies who want to implement enterprise resource planning applications but are constrained by costs. Some of these application service providers include Oracle Corp, JD Edwards and Co, World Technology Services and Bloomfield Computing Solutions.

Supporting e-commerce sites is very critical when e-commerce is a company's primary business model. Experts say supporting an e-business infrastructure requires emphasis on two fundamental elements: the front- end where customers are lured and on the back-end where an operational infrastructure is built to handle complex reporting and reconcile transactions. Support can be a very difficult undertaking when an e-retail site experiences explosive growth.

The system integrates self-service functions and call- center applications. iCare helps customers who are accessing the company Web site for technical support. iCare launches the relevant information related to the customer's inquiry, collects the important data, provides a solution and generates a report for the client.
