Car Audio Dealers and Installers Cope with the Upgraded High-End

Article Abstract:

In a survey conducted by Leisure Time Electronics, car audio dealers are moving towards more high-end or high priced receivers, amplifiers, and speakers. Of the one hunderd owners and managers contacted fifty-four per cent plan on upgrading their inventory in 1984. Other graphs are provided that show how dealers are planning to increase installation capabilities and the percentage of dealers with service days for installation.

Until recently the home stereo business has had problems with overrsupplies of products and poor profitability. Since the beginning of 1984 however sales have considerably increased given new marketing techniques and new technology. Loudspeaker sales have also increased with the audio market given the new attention paid to them by customers seeking to upgrade their audio systems.
