ECR targets small hotels, pensions

Article Abstract:

TEC Corp. offers the FS-1658HT electronic cash register that targets small hotels and pensions. Aside from accommodating four-digit room numbers, the product allows operators to register prepayments by clients as deposits ad settle accounts are at check-out time. The main operating unit of the product sells for 750,000 yen ($5,597), with an 80,000-yen ($597) user program installation fee, 10,000-yen ($75) thermal logo installation fee and 30,000-yen ($224) customer management software fee. The FS-1658HT can also be linked to the optional DRS-209 remote slip printer, which costs 145,000 yen ($1.082).

Article Abstract:

Towa Meccs Corp. releases the NT-2324 electronic cash register that offers measures to secure data when the year 2000 arrives. The product overs 24 or 48 departments and provides such features as management control of Returns and Voids, cash declaration, system flags that limit operator accessibility, separate operator and owner keys, and separate passwords for programming, resetting and reading. The NT-2324, which offers up to 25 operator totals by ID number, traces 950 PLU codes and computes prices in four currencies including the euro.

Superfax International Corp. has launched the EC-4500 twin-tower collator system. The office machine is expected to generate sales from commercial users, in-house printers and finishers and reprographics users.
