Jarltech International Inc.'s expertise in the point-of-sale (POS) system makes the company included among the leading three POS makers in Europe. The Taipei, Taiwan-based company, whose products include the Touch POS point-of-sale system, the Model 8027T VGA terminal and the Model 1510 Smart Card reader, has business presence in North America, Europe and Asia. Around a decade ago, Jarltech concentrated on Europe, where customers demand superior quality, while a majority of POS makers were focusing in the US market. Approximately half of Jarltech's global sales came from Europe, 20% came from the US, and the remaining 30% came from other regions.

Jenxer Co. Ltd. of Taiwan is focusing on the European market for its core product of microcomputer time recorders to compensate for the economic downturn in Asia. The company, which was founded in1986, manufacturers the 5023, 3003, 3023, S-220, S-260 and the S-280 time recorders under the Coper brand. Firms of various sizes have use for the product, which is equipped with a perpetual calendar clock. At the end of each month plus leap year, the clock automatically adjusts rows and days. As many as 32 settings can be made for the alarm, which could be set by time and weekday.
