Jarltech: touch panels truly put POS power 'at users' fingertips': Series 8050

Article Abstract:

Jarltech International Inc.'s space-efficient Series 8050 Touch POS system that features a color touch screen producing images in 256 colors and resolutions with 800 x 600 dots. The system draws its processing power from a Pentium, Cyrix or AMD CPU, and with a measurement of 29.5 x 27.5 x 13.5mm, weighs 3kg. Series 8050 Touch POS system also comes with two serial ports selectable by a jumper, plus a port for a PS/2 mouse, a keyboard port and a parallel port. The system's information capacity supports two 1GB or larger hard disc drives compatible with the Enhanced Integrated Device Electronics specifications.

Article Abstract:

Jarltech International Inc. touts its TouchPOS 8100 POS terminal as featuring an all-in-one designed that provides the flexibility for application of diverse standard and non-volatile RAM devices. The 275 x 295 x 135mm-machine is space-efficient, but has a design deemed workable in a broad range of retail environments such as hospitality and fast food operations. TouchPOS 8100 terminal is also carrying an infrared sensor on the front, plus a capability of allowing users to choose from a 12.1-inch DSTN or a TFT color LCD touch panel.

Jarltech International Inc.'s KeyPOS 8130 system is touted having a compact design with a magnetic strip and Smart Card reader, an infrared sensor, a floppy disc and CD-ROM drive. The low-profile terminal, which has a 130-key programmable keyboard, features a range of interfaces and ports for connection to diverse peripherals expanding system functions and features. KeyPOS 8130 adopts a microphone-in port and a speaker-out port aimed at servicing the fast-food and other businesses requiring announcements to be made for customers.
