Telecommunication Equipment Exports Increased 34% in June

Article Abstract:

Statistics compiled by the Communication Industries Association of Japan (CIAJ) indicate an increase of thirty-four per cent in the export of telephone sets and exchanges. The exports to North America and Asia account for a large proportion of this increase. The primary classification of products is in wired telecommunication equipment and radio wave telecommunication equipment. A table indicating the exports in telecommunication equipment appears in the article.

Otari Electric to Increase Exports of Hard Disks

Otari Electric Company has entered the computer recording and magnetic media market. The company has introduced a 5.25-inch Winchester drive as an external storage device for personal and office computers. This drive contains features such as accuracy, reliability, quality, easy design for incorporation into systems, standard interface and interchangeability with other Winchester disks.

Exports Japan's Electronics Industrys Expected to Increase 15 Percent, to 6,500 Billion Yen

Article Abstract:

There has been an increase in the exports of the electronics industry. This is attributed to improved business conditions in the United States. VTR exports account for an estimated fifty per cent of consumer electronic equipment. Japanese exports reached an approximate 6,500 billion yen or fifteen per cent increase in 1983.
