The DamaNet digital processor combines satellite technology with local distribution. A central processor is located in each cities' region, and a Customer Processor (CP) is installed on the premises. A photograph of the radio-antenna transmitter-receiver is included. DamaNet users pay for channel capacity, which is dynamically assigned, and time-used, rather than for pre-assigned fixed-channel fees. The system provides a transparent interface with the user's telephone and computer systems.
