Bank balance

Article Abstract:

The new headquarters for the TSB bank in Birmingham, England combines a new office block with a Victorian entrance hall. Architect, Percy Thomas Partnership designed a new balcony to join the two buildings without damaging the proportions of the Victorian post office hall. Subtle paint colours highlight the restored plasterwork while custom made furnishings in dark wood gives a sense of the bank's importance. Bronze and marble are also used in the old building while the new offices are decorated in a softer manner.
