Closing the link - NATM success in San Diego

Article Abstract:

The project of the San Diego's Light Rail Transit along with Mission Valley East Corridor that parallels Interstate 8 to the west of San Diego State University campus is investigated. The New Austrian Tunnel Methods adopted will create more options in tackling traffic congestion problems in commercial areas, and thus improves San Diego's transportation network.

Article Abstract:

Project details of the light rail transit line being constructed between Bayonne and Ridgefield are presented. This Weekham Tunnel Project consists of widening and refurbishing the 1,275m long tunnel, construction of a large underground station cavern and a 12m diameter elevator shaft.

LA Sewers - ECIS - the end is in sight

The current status of the East Central Interceptor Sewer project in Los Angeles is investigated. The project is being handled by the Kenny Construction led joint venture, which despite delays due to archaeological problems, is expected to be completed on schedule.
