Custom homes offer ideas for informal dining

Article Abstract:

Four custom home kitchen designs are presented. Lifestyle, taste and size constraints influenced the designs which gave the kitchen spaces their distinct characters. The Carmel custom home kitchen featured a banquette and island breakfast bar for family or entertainment use. The kitchen in a Sugarland, TX, home was designed for large affairs while the Scholz design kitchen possesses a Southwestern atmosphere. The custom home in Charleston, SC, featured a galley-shaped kitchen because of the house's narrow lot.

Downsize custom baths without sacrificing luxury

Article Abstract:

Three designs of custom baths are presented. The bath by Kean Development Co features a his-and-hers scheme that gives each bath its own character. The bath at a house in Naples, FL, reflects post-modern styling with its vaulted ceiling over twin vanities. Meanwhile builder Jim Polito's home in New York, NY, includes a master bath which is space-efficient and contains an angled double vanity that is easily accessible to the whirpool tub and separate shower.
