Guthy-Renker denies product defect

Article Abstract:

Direct TV marketer Guthy-Renker Corp of Desert, CA, and sporting goods retailer Big 5 Corp were sued for allegedly selling a defective Perfect Buns & Thigh exercise device. The lawsuit was filed by Deborah Rowell who was allegedly injured by the device and her 11-year-old daughter who witnessed the incident. Guthry-Renker has denied that its product is defective and said that it has sold 200,000 units of Perfect Buns & Thighs without receiving any complaints from buyers.
