Henry Schein in German joint venture

Article Abstract:

Henry Schein, a direct marketing agency dealing in pharmaceuticals, medical, dental, and veterinary supplies, has joined forces with management software company Compudent of Germany. Compudent provides office management software for dental office operations to around 50% of the dentists in Germany which is equivalent to around 25,000 practitioners. The alliance will permit Compudent to expand its services into dental supplies distribution, explained Henry Schein senior VP for the international group Michael Zack.

Kenneth Cole enters the friendly skies

Kenneth Cole has established a partnership with United Airlines for the placement of the shoe retailer's catalogs on back-seat jackets. The promotion will start with United's New York-to-Hong Kong service, which will offer Kenneth Cole's Travel with Style guide and catalog. United will also undertake a direct-mail and radio campaign promoting Kenneth Cole. The airline will also give a Kenneth Cole two-time zone watch for passengers flying in first and business classes during Apr 2001.

Phoenix adds partners to its net

The number of San Jose, CA-based Phoenix Technologies' partners in its PhoenixNet service offering has increased with the addition of nine new entities in Apr 2000. These new partners are Sharper Image, Stream.com, Express.com, fatbrain.com, eFax.com, Guild.com, MyCity.com, ActionAce.com and FTD.com. PhoenixNet provides customized services that will enhance the capabilities of a personal computer.
